Supermassive is the second studio album by Dream Position. It ostensibly takes the form of a sonic dream journal, but more pointedly tells the story of the character Jest Lanthorn—who features in the artwork—battling through an obsession with perfectionism with comorbid bipolar mood, as told through these dreams, in order to achieve self-actualization. The album was conceptualized over a period of several years and was recorded in two waves, with the first beginning on the 19th of January, 2019 (tracks 1 through 4), and the second on the 7th of June, 2021 (tracks 5 through 29); both periods lasted exactly 2 months and 5 days. The album was released on 2xCDr on November 8, 2021 and digitally on December 8, 2021.
